Click School, an innovative Edtech startup, was launched in 2022 with a clear goal: to provide accessible and practical IT education and career guidance for anyone looking to enter the technical industry. What makes Click School special? Well, their innovation lies in the unique approach of simulating a 4-month work internship in an Agile environment, providing students with a comprehensive perspective on roles, responsibilities, and collaboration in a development team.
The Click School startup emerged from the necessity to address the shortage of IT specialists and the inability of educational institutions to adequately produce qualified graduates. Therefore, Click School developed an innovative solution to fill this gap and create opportunities for those seeking a career change and development in the IT industry.
At the beginning, Click School faced its greatest challenge: the skepticism of IT companies towards non-formal education. However, the team persevered and demonstrated that their graduates are just as competent and prepared to enter the workforce as those from technical universities. As a result, they gained the trust and appreciation of the industry.
Click School’s target segment includes students from various fields who want to learn programming, individuals seeking a career transition, the diaspora who want to return home, and IT companies in search of employees. The startup has already organized three cohorts of students from Moldova and Romania, attracting individuals aged between 18 and 45, with English language proficiency at a B1 level and basic digital skills.
With a solid and dedicated team, Click School managed to attract €45,000 in investments from local investment funds. The team consists of Carolina Dodon, co-founder and CEO with experience in three startups, Olga Graur, co-founder and CTO with 10 years of project management experience, Andrei Cartan, co-founder and Mentor Lead with experience in the UK job market, and Ana Plămădeală, Marketing Director with over 4 years of experience in the field.
“With a strong and dedicated team, we are ready to transform online education into an innovative and engaging experience for students.”
Click School’s growth and development plans include the development of software that caters to the needs of IT companies by simplifying the process of finding junior developers, as well as expansion into new markets such as Armenia and Serbia by the end of 2024.
