Digital Solutions for Refugees from Ukraine

Representatives of IT companies from Moldova and Ukraine, startups, civil society representatives, all tech enthusiasts driven by social impact are invited to the “Digital Solutions for Ukrainian Refugees” meet-up.

At the event you will get a better understanding of the refugees’s needs, as well as existing initiatives and issues not covered by digital solutions. The purpose of the meeting is to validate your ideas, inspire you and help you find partners to improve existing products or propose new digital solutions. Subsequently, all ideas and solutions will be able to apply for funding from the United Nations Development Programme.

At the event, UNDP representatives will explain the concept of Public Digital Goods.To inspire you, two groups of initiative that support refugees will talk about their digital solutions, Monday.com and Moldova for Peace (Dopomoha.md). We will also have the opportunity to listen to the story of a refugee from Ukraine, who will tell us about her experience in Moldova.We want to encourage the IT community to see what are the issues and challenges faced by refugee support initiatives and to come up with digital solutions for different areas such as health, education, employment, transportation, security, certification, access to public services, information and much more. The main language of communication will be Romanian, but there will also be presentations in Russian and English.
