Tekwill Expo Day
On June 23, Tekwill opens its doors to the general public, IT companies, program participants, small and medium enterprises benefiting from the developed products, teachers, students, children and parents at Tekwill Expo. The event aims to showcase all the technologies developed and implemented by Tekwill that are used in the educational process.
Tekwill Expo will present the best projects developed by students and mentors of the programs, as well as workshops for each target group: children, students, students from vocational schools, teachers, combining the educational component with fun activities, raffles with prizes for knowledge engineering programs.
“Tekwill in Every School” will bring together the participants of the “Tekwill Junior Ambassadors” contest and the beneficiaries for whom over 150 products and projects have been developed to be implemented or taken over by small businesses in the Republic of Moldova. The works presented in the exhibition were developed in the following disciplines: Graphic Design, Web Design and Development, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence and Design and Development of Mobile Applications. Beneficiaries include: tourist boarding houses, restaurants, small rural businesses, NGOs and other legal entities. Also at the event, we will launch the “Tekwill in Every School” Summer Training Program for another 600 teachers who will teach TIFS subjects in their educational institution starting with the 2022-2023 academic year. For 8 weeks, teachers will be trained on online platforms by a team of mentors, specialists in the field. Each beneficiary will present a final project that will certify the acquisition of the new discipline. At the same time, on June 23, the 30 schools benefiting from the “Digital School” initiative will be announced. These schools are to go through a complex digital transformation program under the guidance of international education partners and the local team of experts.
Youth Maker Club will organize a series of workshops divided into areas: Games (interactive part), creating jewelry, using soldering iron to create small pieces of art, exhibiting various works, including smart homes, electric cars, boats created of students.
Tekwill Academy Kids will prepare various activities, including: robotics, 3D printed elements for the solar system, drones, Arduino technologies and others. Mentors will present the children’s work and organize workshops for each direction developed by Tekwill Academy Kids. A show of robots and electric cars will be organized for the general public.
FabLab Chisinau will come with the exhibition of projects developed in the spaces dedicated to prototyping. At the same time, visitors will be able to participate in a workshop dedicated to laser cutting, working with CNC or modeling and printing an object on a 3D printer.
The Technical University of Moldova will complete Tekwill Expo with mechatronics, Rube Goldberg machines, technologies aimed at presenting engineering aspects and providing knowledge for various groups of people.
