As a Communication Officer, you will be at the heart of this mission, ensuring our message is communicated effectively both locally and internationally.
As a communication officer, of course your day begins with a cup of coffee or tea and a quick review of the latest news in the startup world. You prepare and send out the weekly news updates to keep our community informed through Social Media channels. This includes summarizing the latest developments, highlighting upcoming opportunities, and ensuring everyone is aligned and up-to-date.
You gather with your team to discuss upcoming events and opportunities. These daily/weekly meetings are crucial for planning and strategizing, ensuring that all activities are well-coordinated and effectively communicated.
You review your daily tasks and prioritize your activities. Preparing for upcoming events, staying informed about the startup scene in Moldova, and sharing significant news with both the team and the community are key responsibilities.
You are developing and implementing the Foundation’s Branding and Communication Strategy; this is a major part of your role. You design comprehensive communication and public relations plans that align with our objectives and annual activity plan.
You craft and distribute articles, press releases, newsletters, and blog posts on topics relevant to the startup ecosystem. Covering technological innovations, business forecasts, and global opportunities, your content is written in both Romanian and English, ensuring a broad reach and engagement.
Maintaining continuous and constructive dialogue with local and international media institutions is essential.
You select the most effective media channels, content, and forms of communication to achieve our objectives, ensuring consistency in all external communications.
You ensure the participation and management of the press at events organized by Startup Moldova. Working closely with team members, you guarantee that the message communicated is consistent with our overall communication objectives.
You are developing and managing content on the Startup Moldova website,as a key responsibility. You oversee our social media activities and online presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, ensuring we remain visible and engaging.
You participate in preparing internal analytical reports and contribute to presenting the organization’s results and the growth of Social Media accounts of Startup Moldova. Ensuring grammatical and stylistic accuracy in important internal and external materials is also part of your role.
You work closely with the designers at Startup Moldova Foundation to create and implement branding materials that align with the organization’s guidelines, including fonts, character, and tone of voice. This includes designing banners for events and ensuring the proper placement and visibility of sponsors, donors, and partners. Your role requires meticulous attention to detail, making it both interesting and professionally rewarding.
You collaborate closely with the fundraising team at Startup Moldova to ensure the proper acknowledgment and visibility of donors, partners, and sponsors in all organized events, trips, and activities.

– Experience: You have at least 2 years of proven work experience in marketing and communication, including cooperation with media agencies. You are experienced in conceptualizing and organizing communication campaigns at local and international levels.
– Language Skills: You are fluent in Romanian and English, with excellent copywriting skills in both languages.
– Technical Skills: You are proficient in managing web pages, social networks, and using online marketing and communication tools.
– Soft Skills: You possess strong research, presentation, copywriting, communication, and networking skills. You have critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. You are detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. You have an energetic and open personality with positive thinking and behavior, and a result-oriented mindset.

– Contract: Full-time, 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
