“Ideas Powered for Business” SME Fund
Subsidy scheme created to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the EU on their intellectual property rights (IP). This fund is an initiative of the European Commission implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Funding offered:
The total budget available for co-financing the actions is 16,000,000 euros, divided into vouchers with different limits:
Voucher 1: IP-related activities (IP Scan – IP pre-diagnosis audit services, trademark and design protection in the EU and outside the EU);
Voucher 2: patent-related activities.
SMEs can apply for a maximum of one Voucher 1 and one Voucher 2, and several funding rules will be applied for each type of activity.
Funds are limited, granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Deadline for application: The fund will run from January 10, 2022 to December 16, 2022.
Eligibility criteria:
SMEs based in the European Union can apply, and the application for this project can be submitted either by the SME owner, an employee or an authorized representative.

Before submitting the application, several documents must be completed:
Company statement
VAT certificate or national registration certificate
Self-declaration (if the business uses the services of a representative or if it acts on behalf of an SME)
