EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul contribuie la consolidarea comunității tech din regiune. Astfel, miercuri, 28 iulie 2021 echipa EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul va găzdui un nou eveniment de networking, schimb de opinii și experiențe. Scopul evenimentului este de a identifica posibilitățile de digitalizare a potențialului turistic al regiunii și de a prezenta intervențiile și acțiunile în curs de implementare. „EU4Moldova: StartUp City Cahul” este implementat în perioada 2020-2024 de ATIC, cu asistența financiară a Uniunii Europene în parteneriat cu Suedia. Inițiativa abordează dezvoltarea socio-economică durabilă a municipiului Cahul și a localităților învecinate, care completează acoperirea regională a asistenței pentru dezvoltare acordată de Uniunea Europeană Republicii Moldova. Proiectul sprijină, în special, dezvoltarea economică prin inovare, antreprenoriatul, ocuparea forței de muncă pentru întreprinderile mici și mijlocii din afara capitalei, precum și oferă oportunități de studiu al tinerilor, femeilor și fetelor în știință, tehnologie, inginerie și matematică (STEM). Ca și parte a proiectului, la Cahul va fi creat un centru regional de inovare și tehnologie -centrul de inovație EU4Innovation – iar un grup larg de localnici vor deveni beneficiarii săi. Obiectivul centrului este de a avea un efect de stimulare în alte zone de dezvoltare ale orașului. UE investește în dezvoltarea proiectului 6,8 milioane EUR, care sunt oferite prin intermediul Suediei și implementate de ATIC.
